Douglas and Brittany are high school sweethearts. (awwwww!!!) They fell in love because of their many mutual interests, but in particular they both have a special love for all things Harry Potter & Disney. So after several years together they adopted their beloved fur baby, whom they named Hagrid, in honour of their favourite novels.
Then, Douglas surprised Brittany with an amazing proposal on a Disney cruise! So naturally when it came time to plan their wedding, a Harry Potter theme was the obvious choice. Their wedding was filled with so many special Harry Potter touches. They incorporated all of the different colours from their respective “Harry Potter Houses”, they had a wand ceremony, Douglas handcrafted origami flowers from their favourite Harry Potter pages for the bouquets, and their cake represented the Hogwarts Express.
And they certainly did not leave out their love for Disney from their planning! In order to get the bride and groom to kiss at the reception the guests had to sing their favourite Disney song. Many hilarious renditions were sung but I would have to admit that my favourite was the Lion King theme song, sung by a friend and a groomsman. 
It had the guests in tears of laughter!
Although it poured rain on their wedding day, Douglas and Brittany had a truly wonderful wedding day. Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of these very special memories. I wish you all the best as you start your new lives together as husband and wife. xx
